Welcome to our Ark Almighty Ministry
HELP IS HERE!
Ark Almighty is a good deeds program designed to help match up the needs within and around Hope Community Church with those who have the talents, skills, and ability to meet those needs. Needs are solicited from the church and the surrounding community and are compiled on a "Craig's List" type web site at ArkAlmighty.com. The website is designed to help members and friends of Hope Community Church become an active part in reaching the needs of people around us, demonstrating the love of God in practical ways, with no strings attached..
Can you balance a checkbook? Can you hang a picture frame? Can you throw a spiral? How about mowing a lawn or raking leaves? You might not think of these everyday activities as important, but for the people around you who can't do them, your ability and willingness to help may be just what they need. You will be amazed at how a simple act of kindness can change lives. Hope Community Church is here in Douglasville for more than just sitting together on Sunday morning! We want to impact Douglasville and beyond with the love of God and the good news of the Gospel!
Helping others, demonstrating to them the love of God in a practical way, with no strings attached, is at the heart of our Ark Almighty Ministry. There are countless needs all around us every day that, up until now, have had no way of being met. But now they do! So whether you are looking for help, or looking to help others, Hope Community Church and Ark Almighty make it easy! Here is how it works:
- Click HERE, or on the Ark Almight link on the home page of Hope Community Church's web site.
- Post your need (Don't worry, your identity is kept totally anonymous, except to the person who volunteers to help you and the church administrator). While you are here, search through the other needs. You might have the exact skill set needed for the job!
- Once someone clicks on your posted need and agrees to help, a private e-mail is sent connecting the two of you together.
- Had a need? Not any more!
We know that there is no guarantee that every need will be able to be met, but the Ark Almighty Ministry gives us a real world way to live out the words of Jesus in the Book of John, Chapter 13, where He said,
"So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples."
